Aida is composed by Giuseppe Verdi, with a libretto by Antonio Ghislanzoni. The performance includes breaks and will be in Italian with subtitles. The premiere took place on 12 September 1996, with the world premiere on 24 December 1871 at the Cairo Opera House. The production is directed by Plamen Kartalov, with set design by Viorica Petrovici, choreography by Francisc Valkay, and choral direction by Daniel Jinga. Assistant director is Alexandru Nagy, and Beatrice Șerbănescu is the ballet rehearsal master.
