The Bucharest Artificial Intelligence Film Festival is the first festival in Romania and Southeast Europe dedicated to video productions based on generative AI technologies. Designed as a platform for exploration and dialogue, the festival aims to highlight the intersection between technology and artistic expression at a time when AI is rapidly redefining the boundaries of the creative industry. On May 29-30, 2026, at Apollo111 Cinema, we present and award the best short films entered in our international competition. In addition to a carefully curated selection of innovative productions, from experimental short films to complex narrative projects, BAIFF offers a broad framework for development and coordination through panels and discussions featuring prestigious guests from diverse fields: film, technology, research, and business. These conversations address essential themes such as the ethics of using artificial intelligence, its impact on creative professions, copyright issues, and the transformations AI brings to society at large. Interdisciplinary dialogue is essential for understanding not just the potential, but also the responsibilities associated with these technologies.
